Mixing & Mastering Beats with iZotope Neutron and Ozone 🎶⚡️🌴

(Important tip - 24:10 onward!)
In this (long overdue) video I show how I mix and master #beats for my store and platforms. Remember - artists who purchase beats (usually) have them mixed and mastered at a studio, and want raw files - this is just a quick tutorial to show you how I make beats presentable for my website / youtube / audiomack etc. I use iZotope neutron and ozone for the process, which can be bought on a payment plan via splice or their own websites. It doesn't really matter which version you use, or which daw. "FL STUDIO / Ableton / Logic is better" isn't worth arguing about - it's what you do inside your daw and if you are having fun / making the desired income you want / whatever you want to get out of making music at home. I have used FL Studio for years, I use Pro Tools in a studio environment and have been using ableton live for the past 3 years or so at home because I like the workflow better.

The goal is to make you beats stand out for streaming platforms, not to overthink and give too much attention to this side of the process - like I said, selling your beats to major artists / professionals they will want the raw versions anyway.

While there are tons of videos and advice out there, it is ultimately up to your ears how to get a track to sound the way you want. I hope this helps as a guide, and you take the time to play around and understand frequencies better.

I have some advice at the end of the video, and show how to mix / master a beat in about 30 mins. This will take longer in the beginning getting used to it, but I can usually knock them out in this time frame (15 mins or so less without talking and instructing.) I can't stress enough there is no right or wrong way to do this, it's just getting your shit to smack the way you want. EQ, compression are and exciting are key in modern day trap / hip hop.
