▶️ Pink Lake

▶️ Pink Lake Sasyk-Sivash is the largest saline lake and the largest peninsula lake in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and is located between the cities of Evpatoria and Saki.

The pink color of the lake comes from the saltwater algae Dunaliella salina (Dunaliella salina). During its lifetime, it produces carotenoids that color the water in shades from pale pink to bright crimson or even lilac.
