Does God Tempt Us?

Does God tempt us? If you read the King James Version of the Bible, there seems to be a contradiction here. James 1:13 says that, "...God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man." Yet, in Genesis 22:1 we read that, "...God did tempt Abraham..."

The key to understanding this "contradiction" is to understand that the Bible communicates two separate ideas, temptation and testing, with the same Greek word, peirasmos. In this video we will take a deeper dive to understand the difference between temptation and testing, to better understand what James 1:13 is communicating.
