The Real Robin Hood was Robert Hood of Wakefield, who fought for Thomas the Earl of Lancaster against King Edward II in 1322 A.D. in England. After the Thomas lost and was executed, his followers (including Robin Hood) were outlawed. Robert Hood of Wakefield then became the leader of a group of fellow outlaws in Barnsdale Forest near Nottingham.
