Tina Peters, the former County Clerk of Mesa County, Colorado, oversaw the 2020 presidential election in her jurisdiction. Initially, she saw no irregularities, but later began to suspect something was wrong. When her requests for an investigation were ignored, she decided to look into it herself. Her independent investigation led to the gathering of some evidence, which has now resulted in criminal charges against her. She is scheduled to go to trial next week for charges related to an alleged security breach at the county's election offices in 2021.
