All the King's Men (1949)
"All the King's Men" is an American political drama film released in 1949, written, produced, and directed by Robert Rossen. Based on Robert Penn Warren's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name, the film follows the rise and fall of Willie Stark (Broderick Crawford), a charismatic but ruthless politician who rises to power in the American South. As Stark's influence grows, he becomes increasingly corrupt, alienating his allies and ultimately facing tragic consequences. The film explores themes of power, corruption, idealism, and the human cost of political ambition.
