I had been using Tect O Trak very successfully and happily for years, until I had to get a new phone... For some reason Tect O Trak would not work as accurately on my new phone. The app's creator Mark Seeley worked with me to try and figure out what was wrong to no avail. Finally after a software update on my phone, the app started working again, and not just working but working better than ever!

If you want an app that will track the paths you walk, record the location, name, description, and a picture of each find as you choose then this is for you. There are additional features on this latest version that I have yet to try like image overlay and pathfinder mode.
