After clearing some seemingly awkward hurdles regarding Dean's relationship with his mother, Wes is shown learning about the art of racing under the tutelage of his father.

"Hey, look at that, I taught him that outside pass!" Dean proudly proclaims at one point as he watches his son in action.

"The faster I go, the calmer I feel," Wes says near the end of the trailer.

"So you just need to keep going faster," Dean replies.

All About the 'Riverdale' Cast: From Upcoming Roles to Off-Screen Relationships
Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, director Kelly Blatz said One Fast Move "was inspired by my love for classic, exhilarating sports dramas like The Fighter, Ford v. Ferrari and Rocky."
"As a devoted motorcycle enthusiast, I couldn't help but notice the absence of a film centered around the thrilling sport of motorcycle racing," he continued. "With One Fast Move, my team and I dedicated ourselves to creating an authentic film that captures the excitement and danger of motorcycle racing, while also delivering a compelling, character-driven drama."

Both directed and written by Blatz, 37, the film also stars Edward James Olmos and Maia Reficco, and is distributed by Amazon MGM Studios.

One Fast Move is streaming Aug. 8 on Prime Video.

"You don't beat 'em by slugging 'em. You beat 'em with skill." Prime Video has revealed the official trailer for a motorcycle racing drama titled One Fast Movie, set for a streaming release this August. Apparently this is skipping theaters entirely and will get a summer debut online for anyone who wants to watch. From writer & director Kelly Blatz, One Fast Movie is an action-adventure thrill ride about a young man down on his luck who seeks out his father with the hope of becoming a professional racer. With the help of his small town love interest and a motorcycle shop owner who moonlights as his mentor, he begins to break down the walls that his father's absence had built up. "The only option is to go faster..." Starring KJ Apa, Eric Dane, Maia Reficco, Edward James Olmos, and Austin North. This doesn't look particularly impressive or unique, the cinematography doesn't even look that good either, especially compared to the F1 teaser trailer this week. Probably why they're sending it straight to streaming and not giving it a theatrical release at all...

Wes Neal (KJ Apa), a youngster with a passion for speed, is kicked out of the military for motorcycle drag racing. With nowhere left to go, and a desire to go pro, he tracks down his estranged father, Dean Miller (Eric Dane), a former motorcycle racing champion, to be his coach. Wes gets a job at the motorcycle shop owned by Dean’s old mentor, Abel (Edward James Olmos), and meets a local waitress (Maia Reficco) who he falls for. As he begins training with his father, fresh wounds are created on his old scars as Dean puts intense pressure on his son to be the best, putting a strain on all other relationships in Wes’ life. Wes must decide for himself now what he wants for his future, and ultimately what is worth losing in order to win big on the track. One Fast Move is written and directed by the American actor / filmmaker Kelly Blatz, making his second feature after directing Senior Love Triangle previously, plus a few other short films. Produced by William Bindley, Mike Karz, Matt Luber, and Lena Roklin. Amazon will debut Blatz's One Fast Move streaming on Prime Video directly starting August 8th, 2024 this summer. Look any good? Or not?
