My granddaughter was medically kidnapped in February 2022. She developed a blood blister under her tongue and was taken to the ER when the blister grew larger & she refused to be bottle fed. An emergency physician alleged "abuse" & our nightmare began. Wilkes County (NC) CPS was contacted & over the next several weeks the child was alleged to have also suffered fractured ribs & a fractured arm. We haven't seen x-rays with PII matching them to this child. My son was singled out as the alleged abuser & we've spent over $100K in bail bonds & legal fees to help this innocent young man remain "free." Two of three felony charges against my son were dropped due to zero evidence of culpability. We're awaiting a third felony criminal disposition, which will either go to trial or also be dismissed. My son hasn't seen his daughter in over 2 years. The CPS' lawyer doesn't like this public exposure, but I cannot - and will not - remain quiet.
