He presented a divergent interpretation of selected climate change data. Dr. Happer questioned current dogma about climate change by presenting scientific data and theory which question the underlying assumptions of conventional wisdom. He knows he is a controversial figure. Dr. Happer worked in various capacities for the Bush and Trump administrations.)

When you listen to the Q&A discussion at the end of Happer's presentation, you will notice that many of the questions drill down into details without placing the question in proper context. Very few place the question in the long term geological climate cycles. Happer actually acknowledged these long term changes in his presentation.

When you read this article that I researched, you will see that there have been 8 major climate cycles over the past 1 million years. A glacial ice age lasts about 100,000yrs and is followed by about 10,000yrs of warming & then the cycle essentially repeats. About 22,000yrs ago the ocean level was 400 feet (40 story building) lower than today. About 3,000yrs ago, we started heading into the next 100,000yrs of glacial ice age. Regardless of which phase we are in, the average temperature is always moving up & down, although it is either warming or getting colder, based upon which phase we are in.

Therefore, any discussion about "climate change" must take into account whether we are in the glacial ice age phase or the inter-glacial warming phase. You simply can't tell which phase we are in by noticing the temperatures for 100yrs, or even 500yrs.)
