Reading of the 1560 Geneva Bible - Day 206 of 366 (Ezekiel 13-15) Season 2 - "The Prophetic Warning: Ezekiel's Vision of Deceit and Destruction"

The Lord compares them to a garden that has been destroyed by drought, withering away under the scorching sun. The people are urged to seek God's mercy before it's too late.

Ezekiel 15 begins with a powerful metaphor. The Lord compares Israel to a worthless vine, good for nothing except being thrown into the fire. The prophet is told to take away Israel's precious vessels and store them in a safe place, symbolizing the removal of any remaining good qualities. The chapter concludes with a somber warning: if Israel does not change its ways, it will be consumed by fire.

As we conclude tonight's reading, we are reminded that God takes prophecy very seriously. He expects honesty and integrity from those who claim to speak in His name. We are called to examine our own hearts and make sure we are living according to God's will.
