During a congressional hearing, he asked, “Are you aware, sir, that many Americans believe this was very likely not a lone shooter, but a COORDINATED assassination attempt?”

Crane continued to ask why no counter-sniper operations were conducted when a 20-year-old managed to get within 150 yards of the President with an AR-15, flew a drone for surveillance, used a rangefinder to measure distances, and was found with advanced explosive devices.

“I was a sniper in the Seal teams, colonel. As soon as I got out of the SUV and I saw that sniper, that water tower, I was like, that's exactly where I'd be. Put me right there. So obvious,” he said.

“After partisan attempts to bankrupt him [Trump], imprison him for 750 years in countless depictions as a modern-day Hitler, are you surprised, sir, that a lot of Americans are like, maybe there's more to this story?”
