While the 1967 Outer Space Treaty prohibits the U.S. from deploying nuclear, biological, or chemical weapons in space but what they didn't count on was the US Air Force's most simple weapon ever: a tungsten rod that could hit a city with the explosive power of an intercontinental ballistic missile. This new weapon does not fall under the category of either one of those and promises to deliver strikes more powerful than many types of nuclear and chemical attack - while avoiding the unfavorable fallout which follows nuclear strikes.

So, what is Project Thor? Well, to summarize the entire concept, at the moment it is seen as a project that is potentially overshadowing the MOAB as the deadliest non-nuclear weapon in the U.S. arsenal, Project Thor is a technology developed by Jerry Pournelle back in the 50s with the goal of obliterating enemies with bolts from above.

With US Space Force already coming into action, Project Thor may not be very far coming into action (or been used in Hawaii Lahaina?)!
