*After killing Mr. Bollus, Burn leaves the Shine only to find...to his shock...that the Darkened Earth does not look so Darkened anymore. In fact, most of the Darkened Earth is now covered in the same growth of red flowers that once marked the lands controlled by the Blood Empress, Gabriella herself, so long ago. To be honest, Burn isn't just shocked he's utterly confounded as to how nice the Darkened Earth appears, rather quaint in fact, and he has no clue what is going on. When he turns to find the son of the High Father at his side he is only welcoming, accepting this pleasant surprise because surely it foretells an explanation. But the son of the High Father doesn't explain why the Darkened Earth no longer is as dark. He only tells Burn that time truly had fractured with the fall of the Citadel, his absence from the Darkened Earth not a matter of months but a matter of centuries. In fact, two hundred years have passed since last Burn walked this land and things have changed. Erus is now the only strength around as he is considered more a god than ever. The son of the High Father even begs for Burn to turn around, to have faith that he and the High Father have this in control and killing is not the answer since that was never Burns charge to begin with. For the last time, the son of the High Father asks Burn to just be a Witness, to put down his axe and only walk the land telling others of the heaven he has seen, but Burn refuses. He's just taken the hat of a monster he delighted in ending. He needs to do the same to Erus [AI Art]*
