Capcom CENSORS SNK Vs. Capcom CHAOS For the Modern Audience!

Obscure 2003 Fighting Game classic SNK Vs. Capcom CHAOS was shadow dropped over EVO weekend to the surprise of many. All the moves that Capcom has been making with their classic fight game titles recently leads a lot of fans to speculate if a proper SNK Vs. Capcom collection is on the way. Those rumors are likely to heat up with the release of CHAOS.

But be careful what you wish for. Code Mystics, who worked on the port, were told from a higher power that they needed to put up a Trigger Warning on the game and there was some Key Art that was modified to cover up characters for Western Audiences.

Capcom pledged allegiance to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion policies in April of this year, so perhaps this is of their doing. Code Mystics said that every aspect of the game was otherwise unmolested, so it's just a better looking version of the 2003 arcade port, so no blame resides with them. Capcom has been on a winning streak in recent years, so perhaps this is a bump in the road and not a sign of more nefarious things to come.
