Quit starving your spirit and Come To the Table! His food is out of this world!

The music and words of this song were given to me spontaneously as I was playing my harp at church. Every week, fifteen minutes before church starts, the pastor wants me to play my harp to create a worshipful atmosphere for the congregation to enter into God's presence. Most of my songs are played improvisationally, seeking Holy Spirit to guide my music and singing. This was the new song that was birthed this past Sunday.

The Lord is calling us into a closer, intimate time alone with Him and desires us to come eat at His table, to experience the "new wine" of His Holy Spirit and spiritual bread (The Word of God) to feed our spirits.

Jesus is often called the bread of God. In fact, Jesus was born in Bethlehem, which means house of bread. Although we eat and drink daily to care for our physical needs, most of us are starving ourselves spiritually. We make all sorts of excuses. We don't have to set the table, cook anything, or wash the dishes, etc. God already prepared it! It's called the Bible. All we have to do is come to the table and eat! So what are we waiting for? Come To The Table! The food is out of this world! God is the master chef. Come taste and see that the Lord is good!
