The Range Finder at Trump Assassination Attempt

Having a range finder at a public event is not a big deal. It isnt even abnormal. Would it be reasonable to profile someone who is using one at the event and observe their behavior? Yes, but outside of that, it is no different than using a set of binoculars as an enhanced viewing device and in many instances better than doing so.
