CrowdStrike Holdings, Inc and What Caused The Global IT Outage

The CrowdStrike story has made headlines everywhere because they caused major issues around the world with over 8 million Windows computers going down. Surprisingly, this was not a cyber attack or a Microsoft issue, the issue was caused by a faulty software update for Windows hosts, which resulted in a blue screen of death error on affected computers. The outage disrupted airlines, banks, hospitals, and media outlets. Sources say that this was not done by hackers but can imagine the damage it would cause if a hacker was involved? The Movie "Leave The World Behind" describes what could happen and the "Zero Days" explains how bad our infrastructures are and how easy it would be to cause several catastrophes at once even in an airgapped system. FYI there is a zero say virus floating around thanks to Obama and Israel and there is no fix for it. If hackers can get into Comcast and government controlled places they can get in anywhere and infect update files or codes before you install them on your airgapped system. I have a prediction and my IT boss agrees that CrowStrike can't recovery from this because lots of companies will be looking elsewhere.
