We are told that variations or mutations to the CFTR gene causes cystic fibrosis. Scientists have now discovered seven genes that cause some form of Parkinson's disease. According to Medicinenet.com, “Some people inherit genetic disorders from their parents, while other changes are acquired changes or mutations in a preexisting gene or group of genes cause other genetic diseases. Genetic mutations can occur either randomly or due to some environmental exposure.” I want to discuss these random and/or acquired gene mutations on Monday from 3-4PM Central Time.
