Disneyland Cast Members Authorize Strike

The Disneyland parks in California are facing a potential shutdown as 99% of their unionized cast members voted to authorizing a strike.

This vote came after a large portion of the Disneyland cast members voted to unionize. The union representing nearly 14,000 employees authorized the strike unless Disney meets their demands which includes better pay. A strike would be devastating for Disney since their experience sector of the company is responsible for nearly 1/3 of the company’s revenue. However, it’s unlikely a strike would last as long as the strike that took over Hollywood last year.
