Entitled Couple Acts Tough with Cop, Turns Citation Into Arrest

On September 11th, 2022, officers responded to a 911 call. Dispatch advised that a suspicious male attempted to purchase Apple merchandise from an Apple store, but his bank details were found to be false and the payment was denied. Suspecting deceit, the officers followed his car and also noticed that he wasn’t wearing a seat belt. The suspect started behaving aggressively, prompting the officers to detain him. She was arrested due to her aggressive behaviour. He began to complain about being unable to breathe. The female started arguing with the officers, defending herself and her boyfriend. Shortly after, she was taken to the police unit.The male was charged with aggravated unlawful use of weapon, possession of controlled substances, resisting arrest, obstruction of ID and seat belt violation. The female was charged with resisting arrest.
