Open to Micah 6:6
How should you approach the LORD? The Israelites asked this very question in Micah 6:6. Wherewith shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before the high God? shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old? Each Israelite is asking: “Why is God angry with me? What is wrong with Him? We are bringing God the burnt offerings that He requires, why is God still punishing me? I am doing what He has commanded.” Yes, the LORD wants your obedience and for you to do the things that He has asked you to do. And God wants a relationship with you. God is not a drill sergeant, just barking orders at you. He is your God. He is your LORD. He is your Heavenly Father. He knows you better than you know yourself. The Israelites, with that question, are wondering how they can approach the LORD God.
