Investigators believe Trump’s would-be assassin flew a drone over rally site

Investigators suspect that the gunman who attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump may have used a drone for reconnaissance on the day of the shooting, according to a law enforcement official.

They found a drone in Thomas Crooks’ car, which might have helped him survey the rooftops and plan his attack.

Additional evidence includes a ladder and a backpack, both believed to belong to Crooks, discovered near his home.

These items are now with federal authorities, CNN has reported.
