A foldable sawhorse that allows you to swap out the top after its been ravage by saw cuts and abuse is a great idea. These sawhorses are fairly simple to make and can be folded flat for easy storage. Here are the basics. Out of 3 2x4x8' s you'll cut 4 identical 40" legs using 22.5 degree cuts, and you cut 3 30" braces with 90 degree cuts. You cut a 3"x2" right angle into the top of each leg. Pair legs so the top cuts are facing each other and bolt the pair of legs together 4" down from the top. Add braces and you're done. Remember, you're not making furniture. Experiment, have fun, customize to fit your needs.
