Monográfico en homenaje al músico (saxo tenor) Zoot Sims, nacido en California el 29 de octubre de 1925 y fallecido en Nueva York el 23 de marzo de 1985. Conocido como uno de los famosos 'Four Brothers'.

Se ofrecen actuaciones con Larry Bunker (bateria), Roger Kellaway (piano) y Chuck Berghofer (contrabajo), interpretando 'My old flame' de Johnston y Coslow, 'On the trail' de F. Grofe y 'Motoring along' de J. Mac Griffe.

Se recogen actuaciones en estudio o en conciertos ofrecidos en diversos festivales de jazz nacionales y extranjeros de musicos y grupos de jazz españoles y del mundo. En cada programa, dedicado a un determinado musico o grupo, se expone su trayectoria, estilo musical e influencias y con frecuencia se entrevista al musico o lider del grupo sobre su musica, pasado musical y proyectos.

El programa desapareció tras siete años de emisón ininterrumpidamente por La 2, cuando había logrado consolidar un nivel de audiencia aceptable, con casi 350 programas consagrados a la difusión de esta música.

The program disappeared after seven years of uninterrupted broadcast on La 2, when it had managed to consolidate an acceptable audience level, with almost 350 programs dedicated to the dissemination of this music.
