Anatoliy Sydorenko, deputy commander of the 97th battalion of the 60th Separate Mechanised Brigade of Ukraine from the Lyman direction, noted that Russia does not stop trying to capture Terny settlement. He shared this update this on the Espreso TV channel.
"We observe Russian activity in the Lyman sector. The enemy does not stop trying to capture Terny, conducting small assaults every day. Two days ago, one of these groups was captured in its entirety. More precisely, by cutting off their logistics and food, a group of 6 Russians was forced to surrender. There were no convicts in this group, they were contract soldiers and mobilised personnel. That is, all of them had combat experience," said Sydorenko.
The Azov Brigade said that since the beginning of the year, the Russian troops had been continuously attacking the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces near Terny in the Liman sector. They noted that the situation in the area had been threatening because the invaders had spared neither personnel nor equipment to capture the Ukrainian village.
“As a result of a successful operation conducted by the 12th Special Operations Brigade “Azov”, the 95th Air Assault Brigade and related units, the Ukrainian Defense Forces drove the enemy back from Terny and Yampolivka and consolidated their positions,” the Azov Brigade press service reported.
The situation at the front in Ukraine remains tense but under control. The defense forces were able to counteract the enemy's attempts to advance into the country's territory, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Despite Russia's attempts to advance deeper into Ukraine, the Defense Forces continue to resolutely counter the occupiers' attempts. In particular, the Armed Forces had some success in one of the areas.
