On today's episode, Jana and Reata open their new series discussing matters of the heart. The word heart appears almost 1000 times and scripture and is used more than any other word to describe the inner self.

Reata shares some of the adjectives used to describe the state of the heart in scripture, including:

Pure of heart

Evil heart

Deceptive Heart

Hard heart

Unrepentant heart

Idolatrous heart

Joyful heart

Broken heart

Murderous heart

Adulterous heart

Immoral heart

False heart

Jealous heart

Kind heart

Faithful heart

She also emphasizes how God already knows what is in our heart, but we need to know what is in our hearts as well. Additionally, they discuss how what's inside of you takes root and will bear fruit. However, what kind of fruit is determined by the state of your heart. Wrapping the conversation, they speak about control in their hearts and the importance of relinquishing the control and waiting on God's timing.

What is in you? What is in your heart?
