Taylorsville Warriors @ Chatfield Chargers Full Game 8.18.2023 High School Football

The Chatfield Sr. High School Chargers hosted the Taylorsville (Utah) High School Warriors in their 2023 season opener at Jeffco Stadium in Lakewood, Colorado. Unfortunately, this game was a mismatch. After a 3-and-out Colorado State Rams commit Dagan Myers returned the punt 67 yards for a touchdown. Jake Jones tossed 2 touchdowns to Drew Rohlman, including a dazzling scramble play that ended up on 9News - a 45 yard TD Pass. Then the 1st Team All-State QB ran for a 10 yard score. Jr RB Cory Bahl ran for 72 yards and his first high school TD, sophomore DE Nate Helms had a big sack for a safety, and junior LB Reed Narva had a pick six to round out the first half of scoring. After a 49-0 first half, both teams played subs in the 2nd half. Taylorsville threatened to score in the final minute, but LB Riley Suddath forced a fumble and CB Ethan Finnefrock recovered to preserve the shutout.
