Exhaust Manifold Leak Repair

I developed an exhaust manifold leak at the rear driver's side due to a broken bolt. I wanted to see if the manifold repair clamp sold by Dorman would seal the leak and buy me some time for a proper repair. My motor is a 6.0 LS. There are three versions of these clamps from various manufacturers and they only work on select engines - but they all work the same. One clamp will work on the Driver's rear or Passenger's Front. One clamp will work on the Passenger's rear or Driver's front, And one clamp works on the cylinders in between.Mounting is pretty straightforward. The clamp is bolted to existing threads in the head then the leaking manifold is pressed back into place on the flange of the manifold with tightening the final bolt. I believe the trick to success with the rear mount is to remove the heat shield in order to give yourself room to work. Worked like a charm.
Some claim that this is a permanent fix but I am still not sure about that. I plan to replace manifold, gaskets and bolts in the near future.
