Stromboli Italian Style / Pizza Bread / Chef by Chance

Stromboli basically is a pizza rolled up into a loaf and baked but without the sauce. Really, it’s as simple as that. You can use anything left over as a filling.

Prep Time 5 min.
Cook Time 30~45 min.
Serve 4~6 ppl

Ingredients

All-Purpose Flour - 2 cups
Warm Water - 1 cup
Sugar - 1 tsp
Salt - To Taste or 1 tsp
Yeast - 1 tsp
Oil - 1/3 cup
Cottage Cheese – to taste or 1 cup
Spinach – to taste or 1 cup
Mozzarella and Cheddar Cheese – to taste of 1 cup
Egg - 1 ea
Italian Herbs - 1 tbs

Step 1 - Add All-Purpose Flour to a bowl
Step 2 - Make a circle and add warm water, sugar, salt, yeast, oil
Step 3 - Very important Step - Stir a little bit and leave it for 3~5 min. or until you see bubbles.
Step 4 - Now mix everything and make a dough. Add oil (if required).
Step 5 - Cover the dough and keep it in a warm place for an hour or until the dough is risen.
Step 7 - Once the dough rises, divide the dough into four equal portions.
Step 8 - Spread the dough in a rectangle and add cottage cheese, spinach, and mozzarella/cheddar cheese.
Step 9 - Roll it to ensure that it is secure.
Step 10 - Put egg yolk and sprinkle Italian herbs.
Step 11 - Preheat oven 15 350 F and bake it for 20~30 min.
Step 12 - Enjoy!
