Xylocopa violacea 🤯The biggest bee in my country!!!

The purple beetle, carpenter bee- (Xylocopa violacea) - also commonly called the "black bee" - is sparsely hairy and dark or brown-purple. Due to its considerable size - up to 3.5 cm long - its appearance often arouses great interest. In 2012, the species was declared extinct in our country, but today it is reviving (in my garden) ;-)
