It addresses a wealthy individual who appears to have all the material comforts but lacks joy and fulfillment. The lyrics suggest that simply accumulating wealth and possessions is not enough to lead a satisfying life.

Elaine Stritch (February 2, 1925 – July 17, 2014) was an American actress, known for her work on Broadway and later, television. She made her professional stage debut in 1944 and appeared in numerous stage plays, musicals, feature films and television series. Stritch was inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame in 1995.

Today I pay homage to a comedian that I grew up loving. She starred in a comedy series called, Two's Company. So this is my homage to Elaine. I have "mixmashed" her broadway video called, True Life, with one of her most famous songs. ( I got to meet Elaine too in my lifetime, and she was a true lady) Enjoy.
