Meet "EL BONGO" my quick, cheap, and easy diy Camo Helmet Cover Scrim.
You'll need your environment dictated choice of Nylon Camo Scrim, a little Shock Cord and a Spring Loaded Toggle. These cost me about $10 in materials. If you buy Scrim in BULK, it's like $5.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Measure (40" x 24") and Cut your SCRIM. Fold your cut piece out and fold it over on itself. Weave in your Shock Cord (80") around all the edges. Make sure to Weave the Cordage through both layers of Scrim. Rotate the Scrim as you go. It will quickly begin to look like a Shower Cap. Work the Shock cord so that its Ends meet evenly after you complete the Weave of the circumference of the Scrim. Place your Toggle on the shock cord. Cut or Daisy Chain the remaining Shock Cord. Stretch out your Scrim so that it easily fits over your Helmet. Find nooks and crannies to run your Scrim around the Helmet. I go up and over my Headset, locking in the Shock Cord just below the Rails.
Secure the Toggle making the Shock Cord taught. Put on your Helmet and Look in a mirror. Dress your scrim as to avoid any impedance to your vision.
Take your time and be patient. After you make a few, you'll be able to rip them out for more Helmets, Backpacks and Gear.

Remember, it's not an exact science. As long as it stays on securely and doesn't inhibit your functions (vision, headset controls, gear) it's good. I hope this video helps you create your own Helmet Scrim.
It's important Marion, Trust Me.
