Psalm 39:1-6: The psalmist reflects on the brevity and uncertainty of life, acknowledging human frailty and the inevitability of death. They resolve to guard their tongue and not speak rashly in the presence of the wicked. Despite their suffering, the psalmist turns to God in prayer, seeking relief from their distress.

Proverbs 9:13-18: Wisdom is personified as a woman who calls out to the simple, inviting them to forsake foolishness and gain understanding. In contrast, the foolish woman, Folly, entices those who pass by, promising pleasure but leading to death and the grave.

John 9:1-41: Jesus heals a man born blind, sparking controversy among the Pharisees who question the man and his parents about the healing. Despite the Pharisees' skepticism, the man born blind testifies to Jesus' miraculous power. The Pharisees reject Jesus' authority, but the healed man acknowledges Jesus as the Son of God and worships Him.
