Yes, there is a fire down below. These volcanic fires are not rements of some 4 billion years ago and why would it be hot now, lots of uranium? The solar system recycles charge thru the planet's mass and creates their fires down below. The extensional drag by the Pacific Plate has made the crust thin here and very precarious with some of the thinnest crust on earth. The heat from below is also a constant used in snowmelt calculation.
