Russia vs NATO: The Bloc Is Dying with Dmitry Orlov

Today we speak with Dmitry Orlov, a Russian-American author and political commentator. He published Reinventing Collapse and The Five Stages of Collapse.

He was born in Leningrad, USSR, into an academic family, and emigrated with them to the US in the mid-1970s. He holds degrees in Computer Engineering and Linguistics, and has worked in a several fields, including high-energy physics, inventions, internet commerce, network security and advertising.

His writing often focuses on the potential collapse of the United States, something he calls a permanent crisis. He believes the collapse will come from huge defense budgets, massive government spending, declining oil production and an unresponsive political system.

In this interview we speak on his background, comparing the USSR & US economy, as well as NATO’s fate and the latest on Russia-Ukraine.
