Body camera video captures the moment deputies captured a man wanted for the murder of two people in Tampa.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) said on July 13, dispatch received a call reporting a dead woman at Alvarado Drive, off Monte Vista Place. At the scene, they found 31-year-old Lianet Santos Sosa with trauma to her upper body. Tragically, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

"It is devastating to know that a 5-year-old child will grow up without their mother because of the senseless violence of this evil man. His complete disregard for human life has forever altered the lives of two families," said Sheriff Chad Chronister.

Detectives learned that a man — 35-year-old Silvio Ramon Franco Peralta — had fled the scene in Sosa's car.

The sheriff's office said Peralta became involved in another deadly altercation with another individual, resulting in Franco Peralta killing the man.

After deputies found the suspect, they initiated a pursuit. Minutes later, deputies stopped the vehicle by performing a precision immobilization technique (PIT). While Peralta tried to flee on foot, he was quickly apprehended.

Body camera video from the deputies' vest shows the aftermath of the pursuit and Peralta's arrest.

Peralta was booked into the county jail for the following:

* murder in the first degree with a weapon (premeditated)
* armed burglary of a dwelling with an assault or battery
* grand theft motor vehicle
* aggravated fleeing to elude
* driving with license cancelled, suspended, or revoked
* resisting an officer without violence

The sheriff's office said the Tampa Police Department (TPD) may face more counts.
