Dangerous Liberty Ep79 - Special Guest: Green Beret Alan Shebaro - Israel/Palestine Conflict

In Ep79 we'll be talking with former Green Beret Alan Shebaro. Alan served with B Company, 2nd BN, 3rd SFG, Commander's In-Extremis Force (CIF). He's also a 5th degree BBJ black belt.

Alan has been vocal in his protest against Israel and Israel's military action in Palestine.
He is clearly knowledgeable about the history between Israel and Palestine and has very strong opinions about the situation.
I disagree with many of his opinions but I also realize almost everything I do know about the situation I've learned directly from the media. Being pro-Israel I of course gravitate toward pro-Israeli content and sources and have dismissed a lot of negative information or stories about Israel action in that area as Hamas propaganda.

From what I do know about Alan, I believe he's a good man, a great American, and earnest in his beliefs, so I want to hear what he has to say. Even if I disagree with him, in any way that I can, I would like to help his point of view to be heard.

So I plan on sitting back and listening, learning, and do my best to see things from his point of view. I'll ask some questions to challenge him but it's not going to be an argument or even a debate.

If nothing else, I hope we can have a discussion from different points of view and be an example of how disagreeing Americans should speak to one another. Maybe we can help get back to the idea that we once had in America that "even though I disagree with what you say, I'd fight to make sure you're free to say it".

Hopefully we'll all learn something and also find a lot of common ground while doing it.
