Paris authorities 'confident' Olympic events can be held in Seine

Paris authorities said on Monday (July 15) they were confident the Olympic triathlon and open water swimming events could be held in the Seine. Deputy Mayor for Municipal Cleaning and Water Treatment, Antoine Guillou, confirmed the city's mayor, Anne Hidalgo, and the head of Paris 2024, Tony Estanguet, would take a dip in the river on Wednesday (July 17).
