Thomas Crooks, identified by the FBI as the shooter in the attempted assassination of Donald Trump, was reportedly "bullied every day" in high school, a former classmate revealed to the media on Sunday, July 14.

Jason Kohler, who graduated from Bethel Park High School a year before Crooks, described him as an "outcast" who was "always alone." Kohler mentioned that although he never interacted with Crooks, he often saw him sitting alone at lunch and wearing hunting outfits to school.

The 21-year-old Kohler also speculated that Crooks might have been part of the school's rifle team, though he was unsure. Crooks graduated from Bethel Park High School in 2022 and received a $500 "star award" from the National Math and Science Initiative, as reported by the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

The FBI confirmed that the 20-year-old Crooks was the suspect in the attempted assassination of former U.S. President Donald Trump at a campaign rally on Saturday, July 13. The Secret Service shot and killed Crooks seconds after he allegedly fired shots towards the stage where Trump was speaking in Butler, Pennsylvania.
