Secret Service, FBI and Milwaukee Officials on RNC Convention Security

The Secret Service said they’re “confident” in their security plan and as of now not making changes to it ahead of the start of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. The event followed the assassinated attempt on the party’s presumptive presidential nominee and former President Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania. The Secret Service, FBI and Milwaukee officials held a news conference to discuss security surrounding the event that’s been designated a “national security special event” that’s required more than a year of security planning. While the security planning isn’t changing, federal and local officials said they will be adapting appropriately if the security environment changes
