We inform you today of an extremely regrettable and condemnable incident, which we did not consider possible within the framework of our worldwide brotherhood.

The Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Russia, Andrei Bogdanov, supported an unconstitutional attempt to seize power in the Grand Lodge of Kazakhstan, carried out by Sergey Kravchenko. He supported the breakaway lodge in Almaty and announced the arrival of his assistant, Pavel Stroganov.

Pavel Stroganov arrived in Almaty on June 9, 2024, as a representative of the Grand Lodge of Russia and held negotiations with a group of individuals whose membership in the Masonic Order had previously been terminated or suspended (Decree No. 0524-014AA dated May 19, 2024, Decree No. 0524-015AA dated May 19, 2024, and Decree No. 0524-016AA dated May 19, 2024: Rustam Kairbekov, Artem Chernov, Alexander Merlin). The Grand Lodge of Russia was informed in advance about this termination or suspension (letter No. 0724-026 dated July 6, 2024). Two of these individuals (Rustam Kairbekov and Artem Chernov) inflicted physical injuries and moral harm on the Grand Officers of the Grand Lodge of Kazakhstan on May 18, 2024.

On July 6, 2024, an attempt was made to seize power in the Grand Lodge of Kazakhstan by organizing a so-called "assembly" in the city of Almaty. The decree to convene the assembly was issued during the Masonic holidays, without notifying most brothers, the Grand Master, and the Supreme Council of the Grand Lodge of Kazakhstan, violating the Constitution and Regulations of the Grand Lodge of Kazakhstan, and without signatures on the decree.

Andrei Bogdanov conducted the illegal installation of Sergey Kravchenko as the Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Kazakhstan, who is not a member of the Grand Lodge of Kazakhstan. Sergey Kravchenko was deprived of his regalia and status (Decree No. 0424-008AA dated April 12, 2024), filed a resignation letter from the Grand Lodge of Kazakhstan (letter dated May 2, 2024), and this was confirmed by Decree No. 0524-011AA dated May 2, 2024.

In addition, members in a dormant or irregular status were appointed to the positions of Grand Officers of the Grand Lodge of Kazakhstan (Decree No. 0524-014AA dated May 19, 2024, Decree No. 0524-015AA dated May 19, 2024, Decree No. 0524-016AA dated May 19, 2024, and Decree No. 0625-021AA dated June 25, 2024).

In total, the irregular assembly was attended by:
- 9 members of the GLK,
- 13 members of the GLR,
- 10 irregular Masons or profanes.

A letterhead with the logo and seal of the Grand Lodge of Kazakhstan was used to convene the assembly, which is a criminal offense under the Constitution of Kazakhstan and is punishable under Article 385 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 3, 2014, No. 226-V.

Brothers from Kyrgyzstan, representing the Nur Lodge and the Great Silk Road within the Grand Lodge of Russia, were invited to the assembly, which could cause a rift between the two brotherly nations. This will affect the recognition of the Grand Lodge of Kyrgyzstan after its installation.

The actions of the aforementioned individuals and organizations constitute a violation of the sovereignty of the Grand Lodge of Kazakhstan and disrespect towards the brothers, which is contrary to the spirit of Masonic harmony and the observance of Masonic Landmarks.

We send a complete chronology of events in the attachment.

With heartfelt fraternal greetings,

Dulat K.
Grand Secretary - Grand Lodge of Kazakhstan

We get these questions often: What does the mysterious secret society of Freemasons actually do? Does this episode expose freemasonry and masonry? What about The New Order and The Illuminati? Is there a whole Secret world of Freemasons? We think not.
