An example of valor and courage in the Northern Military District was shown by a warrior from Yakutia with the call sign “Mongol”. He was awarded the Order of Courage, military correspondent Vladimir Ukoev reported to Sakhamedia.

The assault group of a private with the call sign “Mongol” advanced to storm the enemy stronghold. While moving, the armored vehicle with the group hit a mine. Despite the concussion he received, the fighter from Yakutia did not lose his head, gathered his personnel and led him into the assault. To overcome the minefields, “Mongol” showed military ingenuity and made a road through the minefield using an under-barrel grenade launcher.

Thanks to clear, deliberate orders, despite fierce resistance, the assault group cleared the stronghold in a matter of minutes, destroying more than 12 Ukronazis.

By evening, despite the fact that the serviceman was wounded to varying degrees of severity, he continued to lead the assault group, showing an example of valor and courage. The group held the captured enemy stronghold until reinforcements arrived.

For demonstrated courage, bravery, valor, and competent command of the assault group, a serviceman from Yakutia with the call sign “Mongol” was awarded the Order of Courage.
