To my North Carolina District 11 friends: Meet our current Western North Carolina GOP leader, Michele Woodhouse. (click on image to watch the short video)

My name is Kathy Maney.

I live in Henderson County which is in District 11. District 11 covers all of Western North Carolina. I am the Hoopers Creek Precinct Chair for my community.

Michele Woodhouse is a Henderson County resident and was elected as the GOP District 11 Chair on Dec. 9, 2023. The Precinct Chairs from the district’s largest counties, Buncombe, Haywood and Henderson all secured the nomination for Michele Woodhouse. As a Precinct Chair in Henderson County, I also voted for Michele Woodhouse.

Elected alongside Michele Woodhouse were Vice Chair Reagan Bunch of Clay County, Second Vice Chair Patrick Ward of Madison County, Treasurer Wally Booth of Transylvania County and Secretary Hunter Clark of McDowell County.

I actually supported and voted for Michele Woodhouse back in 2022, before she lost the Republican Primary Election to Chuck Edwards.

Did I really know who she was when I was supporting her?
So why do I no longer support Michele Woodhouse as our District 11 Chair?

I believe her political agenda is more important to her than the people she represents. Her lust for power and money has become a danger to our district.

Two of the largest counties in District 11, under Michele Woodhouse, have had to suffer some major problems due to her poor leadership.

On July 8, 2024, the Buncombe County Chair, Chairman Doug Brown, was found guilty of assaulting a female. A Buncombe County district court judge found Doug Brown guilty of a misdemeanor assault on a female. I personally know nothing about this case other than knowing several witnesses who say that Doug Brown did not assault her; they say the case was grossly exaggerated by the accuser.

Michele Woodhouse was asked if Doug Brown will be made to vacate his chair or face any other consequences. Michele Woodhouse said she would "need more information on the exact ruling."

On March 27, 2024, I filed a Criminal Complaint against my Henderson County Chair, Brett Callaway, for his assault against me at our Henderson County Convention on March 23.
The Henderson County magistrate told me I had a good case with my video along with two witnesses willing to testify that they both saw Brett Callaway forcefully grab my wrist and tried to take my phone away from me.

The Assistant District Attorney, Lily Ferry admitted to me that what Brett Callaway did to me was not appropriate.

Brett Callaway was charged with Assault on a Female and we went to court on June 12, 2024 in Henderson County. Michele Woodhouse came to court to support Brett Callaway.

When I arrived to court, I was informed by Assistant District Attorney Lily Ferry, that my case against Brett Callaway had been dismissed. I would not be allowed to show my evidence and my witnesses would not be allowed to testify. I asked her why she dismissed the case. She said that I did not have any bruises on my wrist so I could not prove that he had assaulted me.

Lily Ferry knows the law. You do not have to have bruises to prove assault on a female in North Carolina. She just thought that I did not know the law and that I would believe her.

Michele Woodhouse and Brett Callaway were full of joy and laughter as they passed by me in court. They knew politics played a role in allowing Brett Callaway to get away with the charge of assault on a female.

Our Henderson County District Attorney and Assistant District Attorney are both Republicans. Obviously, they could never prosecute a fellow Republican and their good buddy, Brett Callaway. They had the power and authority to dismiss the case, and there was nothing I could do about it.

Do they think I and my Hoopers Creek community are just dumb people who do not know the law? We know the way to get rid of RINOs is through the elections.

I will do my part in getting the word out to everyday grassroots Henderson County folks and let them know that we need to show up in big numbers to our local county convention, our district convention, and our state convention to vote these people out!

They have tried for months to silence me, to keep me from supporting the candidates that I want to vote for. I have exposed them for their attempts to keep me from strongly supporting Donald Trump, Mark Robinson, and Christian Reagan during the primary.

They will not silence me now! I will openly and strongly support Donald Trump and Mark Robinson in the general election in November.

I will also do my part in promoting our local Republican school board members and our Republican Henderson County Commissioners. I am a Republican and will vote for our Republican State Candidates also.

I do not need Michele Woodhouse or Brett Callaway, who have kicked me out of their little RINO secret society, in order to help save our country and get the right candidates elected.
