Day 154 of Sobriety | Reflecting on Self-Love and Achievements with Snow Patrol's "Run" @snowpatrol

On day 154 of sobriety, I’m listening to Snow Patrol's "Run" from the Oxygen Festival 2009. Before diving into the music, I discuss my ongoing struggle with self-love and acknowledging my achievements and dreams.

As a child, I dreamed of finding my biological family in Sri Lanka and living here, a dream I ultimately fulfilled. However, feeling genuinely happy and proud of this significant accomplishment has been challenging. It took a long time to reconcile the reality of finding my family and moving here with my feelings of being an adoptee and questioning my sense of belonging. Today, I feel accepted, but I still yearn to truly embrace and celebrate this achievement.

his music video holds a special place in my heart because I aspire to feel the same joy and pride that the crowd exhibits while singing along with Snow Patrol. I wish I could be my own cheering crowd, celebrating my journey and accomplishments.

hank you for joining me on this journey. Your support means the world to me.❤️🙏🏾
