四種修定經
☆ 「四修定」(四修等持)法門之功德 ☞
➊ 修四禪定 ➾ 現法樂住;
➋ 修光明想 ➾ 殊勝智見、獲得通智;
➌ 知受想尋 ➾ 正念正知、四無礙解;
➍ 觀集滅諦 ➾ 滅盡諸漏。
41. “Catasso imā, bhikkhave, samādhibhāvanā.
「〔一、禪修功德之總說:〕
諸比丘!有此四者,修習禪定(之功德)。
Katamā catasso?
四者為何?
Atthi, bhikkhave, samādhibhāvanā bhāvitā bahulīkatā diṭṭhadhammasukhavihārāya saṃvattati;
➀ 諸比丘!有禪定之修習,若多所作、再三力行,能引生現法樂住。
atthi, bhikkhave, samādhibhāvanā bhāvitā bahulīkatā ñāṇadassanappaṭilābhāya saṃvattati;
➁ 諸比丘!有禪定之修習,若多所作、再三力行,能引生殊勝智見、獲得通智。
atthi, bhikkhave, samādhibhāvanā bhāvitā bahulīkatā satisampajaññāya saṃvattati;
➂ 諸比丘!有禪定之修習,若多所作、再三力行,能引生正念正知(及四無礙解)。
atthi, bhikkhave, samādhibhāvanā bhāvitā bahulīkatā āsavānaṃ khayāya saṃvattati.
➃ 諸比丘!有禪定之修習,若多所作、再三力行,能引生漏盡。
“Katamā ca, bhikkhave, samādhibhāvanā bhāvitā bahulīkatā diṭṭhadhammasukhavihārāya saṃvattati?
〔二、禪修功德之細說:〕
➊ 諸比丘!云何有禪定之修習,若多所作、再三力行,能引生現法樂住耶?
Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu vivicceva kāmehi… catutthaṃ jhānaṃ upasampajja viharati.

諸比丘!世間有比丘──
vivicceva kāmehi, vivicca akusalehi dhammehi savitakkaṃ savicāraṃ
⑴ 離欲、離惡不善法,由有尋、有伺,
vivekajaṃ pītisukhaṃ paṭhamaṃ jhānaṃ upasampajja viharati.
具足『離生喜樂』之初禪而住。
Vitakkavicārānaṃ vūpasamā ajjhattaṃ sampasādanaṃ cetaso ekodibhāvaṃ avitakkaṃ avicāraṃ
⑵ 尋、伺、寂靜故,於內遍淨,心成一境,由無尋、無伺,
samādhijaṃ pītisukhaṃ dutiyaṃ jhānaṃ upasampajja viharati.
具足『定生喜樂』之第二禪而住。
Pītiyā ca virāgā upekkhako ca viharati sato ca sampajāno, sukhañca kāyena paṭisaṃvedeti, yaṃ taṃ ariyā ācikkhanti –
⑶ 離喜故,捨而住,有念,正知而身受樂。體驗聖者所說:
‘upekkhako satimā sukhavihārī’ti tatiyaṃ jhānaṃ upasampajja viharati.
具足『捨念樂住』之第三禪而住。
Sukhassa ca pahānā dukkhassa ca pahānā pubbeva somanassadomanassānaṃ atthaṅgamā adukkhamasukhaṃ
⑷ 斷樂故,又斷苦故,滅先前之喜、憂故,由不苦、不樂,
upekkhāsatipārisuddhiṃ catutthaṃ jhānaṃ upasampajja viharati.]
具足『捨念遍淨』之第四禪而住。
Ayaṃ, bhikkhave, samādhibhāvanā bhāvitā bahulīkatā diṭṭhadhammasukhavihārāya saṃvattati.
諸比丘!此是禪定之修習,若多所作、再三力行,能引生現法樂住。
“Katamā ca, bhikkhave, samādhibhāvanā bhāvitā bahulīkatā ñāṇadassanappaṭilābhāya saṃvattati?
➋ 諸比丘!云何有禪定之修習,若多所作、再三力行,能引生殊勝智見、獲得通智耶?
Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu
諸比丘!世間有比丘──
ālokasaññaṃ manasi karoti,
⑴ 作意、思惟光明想;
divāsaññaṃ adhiṭṭhāti –
⑵ 專心晝想;
yathā divā tathā rattiṃ,
⑶ 由晝至夜;
yathā rattiṃ tathā divā.
⑷ 由夜至晝;
Iti vivaṭena cetasā apariyonaddhena
⑸ 如是依無纏無覆、打開光明、廣大自由之心意,
sappabhāsaṃ cittaṃ bhāveti.
使培養有光輝、美麗光彩之禪心。
Ayaṃ, bhikkhave, samādhibhāvanā bhāvitā bahulīkatā ñāṇadassanappaṭilābhāya saṃvattati.
諸比丘!此是禪定之修習,若多所作、再三力行,能引生殊勝智見、獲得通智。
“Katamā ca, bhikkhave, samādhibhāvanā bhāvitā bahulīkatā satisampajaññāya saṃvattati?
➌ 諸比丘!云何有禪定之修習,若多所作、再三力行,能引生正念正知(及四無礙解)耶?
Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhuno
諸比丘!世間有比丘──
viditā vedanā uppajjanti, viditā upaṭṭhahanti, viditā abbhatthaṃ gacchanti;
⑴ 知受生起,知持續現起,知正在滅去;
viditā saññā…pe…
[viditā saññā uppajjanti, viditā upaṭṭhahanti, viditā abbhatthaṃ gacchanti;]
⑵ 知想生起,知持續現起,知正在滅去;
viditā vitakkā uppajjanti, viditā upaṭṭhahanti, viditā abbhatthaṃ gacchanti.
⑶ 知尋生起,知持續現起,知正在滅去;
Ayaṃ, bhikkhave, samādhibhāvanā bhāvitā bahulīkatā satisampajaññāya saṃvattati.
諸比丘!此是禪定之修習,若多所作、再三力行,能引生正念正知(及四無礙解)。
“Katamā ca, bhikkhave, samādhibhāvanā bhāvitā bahulīkatā āsavānaṃ khayāya saṃvattati?
➍ 諸比丘!又,云何有禪定之修習,若多所作、再三力行,能引生漏盡耶?
Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu pañcasu upādānakkhandhesu udayabbayānupassī viharati –
諸比丘!世間有比丘,住觀五取蘊之生滅──
‘iti rūpaṃ, iti rūpassa samudayo, iti rūpassa atthaṅgamo [atthagamo (sī. pī.)];
『⑴ 此是色,此是色之集,此是色之滅;
iti vedanā, iti vedanāya samudayo, iti vedanāya atthaṅgamo;
⑵ 此是受,此是受之集,此是受之滅;
iti saññā, iti saññāya samudayo, iti saññāya atthaṅgamo;
⑶ 此是想,此是想之集,此是想之滅;
iti saṅkhārā, iti saṅkhārānaṃ samudayo, iti saṅkhārānaṃ atthaṅgamo;
⑷ 此是行,此是行之集,此是行之滅;
iti viññāṇaṃ, iti viññāṇassa samudayo, iti viññāṇassa atthaṅgamo’ti.
⑸ 此是識,此是識之集,此是識之滅。』
Ayaṃ, bhikkhave, samādhibhāvanā bhāvitā bahulīkatā āsavānaṃ khayāya saṃvattati.
諸比丘!此是禪定之修習,若多所作、再三力行,能引生漏盡。
Imā kho, bhikkhave, catasso samādhibhāvanā.
諸比丘!此等四者,是修習禪定(之功德)。
Idañca pana metaṃ, bhikkhave, sandhāya bhāsitaṃ pārāyane puṇṇakapañhe –
〔三、禪修功德之總結:〕
又,諸比丘!於此,有關我在彼岸道(品)之布那迦所請益問題中,宣說此事:
“Saṅkhāya lokasmiṃ paroparāni,
『洞察此岸彼岸滅;
(生起內觀智慧,洞察世間此岸之六根,與彼岸之六塵,全都滅盡;)
Yassiñjitaṃ natthi kuhiñci loke;
世無創造何動搖?
(世間不曾有任何主宰者,也未曾被創造過,何曾會動搖呢?)
Santo vidhūmo anīgho nirāso,
涅槃無味離苦憂;
(涅槃寂靜之快樂無以言喻:既無貪著之滋味,又無瞋憂之煙塵,更無苦惱之殺害;)
Atāri so jātijaranti brūmī”ti [su. ni. 1054; cūḷani. puṇṇakamāṇavapucchā 73].
我說彼脫生與老!
(我說:對於生與老死之輪迴,他已經成功橫越度脫!)』」
