Episode 159: Lady Hamilton's Headmaster's Homeroom w/Guest: Mother of Pearl

Mother of Pearl – so many meanings but the most special is that her 1st mastiff, her soul puppy was named Pearl. You never forget your 1st mastiff.
She is married 31 years now – 3 amazing kids who are 28, 23, and 19. All march to their own drum. Mother of Peral is owned by a mastiff named Merlot, and a French Bulldog named Bug. 10 chickens also get spoiled on her little 1.5-acre homestead. She started seriously prepping years ago when the oldest left for undergrad. She set up 2 wire shelving units in her room and it grew from there.
Mother of Pearl grew up in a house of 6 kids and her dad was a master mechanic by trade. He could build, make, and fix anything and everything. Her mom stayed home and gardened, canned and cooked for 8 every night. They never went hungry and there were always canned goods that lined the shelves in their dirt floor cold room. While it seems so old fashioned, many people are longing for these things now. Her goal for 2024 is to master canning.
