The following analysis looks at interactions between patients with chronic pain and their medical practitioners. The results speak to the importance of open and two-way communications between patients and their practitioners with the objective of goal setting, setting expectations, and adjusting treatment plans.

The primary objective of the study (n=1,044) was to characterize the recent dynamics in the treatment of chronic pain from the viewpoint of patients suffering from chronic pain and to track changes from a prior similar study (n = 1,000).
