Mat has got his hands on the all-new 992.2 generation Porsche 911!

He’s flown over to Spain to put the all-new 911 through its paces, and while it may only be a mid-life facelift, there are a handful of updates which will set it apart from its predecessors.

For starters, this is the first Porsche 911 to come with hybrid technology included! It may only feature in the GTS T-hybrid edition for now, but it easily delivers a serious performance punch for this new sports car! It’s equipped with a 3.6-litre flat-six turbo that can put down 541hp and 570Nm - 61hp & 40Nm more than its predecessor!

As for how the hybrid system works? Well, you’ll need to stick with Mat to see for yourself!

In terms of other changes, the exterior is relatively similar to the previous car. The indicators are now integrated into the headlights, and there are fins within the front bumper that can open and close to allow for better airflow for cooling. The side profile is pretty much identical to the previous edition, while at the back you’ll find centrally mounted exhaust pipes, along with a redesigned light bar.

Step inside and the interior is classic Porsche, although there’s one big change - the driver's display is now fully digital! It’s the first time the 911 doesn’t have an analogue rev counter, but it’s not all bad - there are loads of displays to choose from, and the positioning of the display means the steering wheel shouldn’t block your view.

Here’s the thing though - it doesn’t come cheap! If you want to pick up the hybrid edition of the GTS, expect to spend £139,000! And that’s before you’ve added any options! So is it worth it? Mat’s about to find out…
