Asslamoalaikum sisters brothers friends and elders, in this Islamic informative and educational video we are describing that Fasting is a very ancient worship and what is the purpose of fasting so to understand answer of this question we have to read verse 183 of surah Al-Baqarah and its tafsir, in which Allah Alimghty said "O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous –" (2:183)
